Members of the Ankeny Kiwanis Club were delighted with the success of their annual fundraisers, CartFest and PancakeFest, during Ankeny SummerFest 2011. The Club was out and about with golf carts for CartFest in which members offer rides around the grounds for donations during the four day event. In addition to ride donations, the Club received donations to rent carts from:
Waterfront Seafood Market
72 Degrees Heating & Cooling
Home Buy Team - Dorothy Mathis
ReMax - Sue Sutton
Ankeny Animal Health Clinic
Ankeny Dental Arts
THe Health Clinic PC
Two Rivers Bank & Trust
On Saturday, Club members rose early to be at theBand Shell location by 5:30am to prepare for PancakeFest. Breakfast this year included all-you-can-eat-pancakes, sausage, milk, OJ, and coffee. The Club received donations from:Tasteful Dinners - Ric Kerr
Proceeds from the fundraisers benefit the Ankeny High School Scholarship fund through Dollars for Scholars and students from Ankeny attending Key Leader Camp in October. Additionally, funds are distributed throughout the year when the Club identifies a need in the community.
The Ankeny Kiwanis Club thanks our sponsors for their continued support of our philanthropic efforts.
