Ankeny Kiwanis Club is part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time.Interested in joining the Ankeny Kiwanis Club? Meetings are held the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at Cafe Diem and Wig & Pen, respectively, in Ankeny starting at noon.

Ankeny Community Easter Egg Hunt

The Ankeny Kiwanis Club's annual Ankeny Community Easter Egg Hunt!will be held on Saturday, March 28 at 9:30 AM for a hopping good time! Eggs go fast, so don't be late. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance as well!

Beds & Shoes Progam
The BED & SHOES FOR KIDS program was created out of a growing awareness that some children in our community have no bed or shoes, poor fitting shoes or shoes in poor condition. There are Ankeny families who do not have the resources to acquire a bed or provide adequate shoes and we want to help with a voucher to a local merchant to help provide a bed or shoes for their child.
Ankeny Kiwanis Charitable Foundation
The Ankeny Kiwanis Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that is the fundraising arm of the Ankeny Kiwanis Club. The Foundation provides funding for the numerous projects that the Ankeny Kiwanis Club supports such as:
  • Ankeny Miracle League and All-Inclusive Playground
  • Operation Underwear
  • Ankeny BackPack Buddies
  • Kiwanis One Day

Schoarship
The Ankeny Kiwanis Club offers financial support to students seeking to continue their education beyond high school.  Three $1000 scholarships are offered from the Ankeny Kiwanis Club through the Ankeny Dollars for Scholars program.

Putt Around the District

Grab A Putter and Sign Up Your Team - Join the Fun
Join the Ankeny Kiwanis Club on Tuesday, September 13th from 2PM to 5 PM for a fun-filled afternoon of putt-putt mini golf while enjoying the businesses of The District at Prairie Trail!

Each participating business will showcase their products and services, will provide giveaways or promotions, and will offer a unique mini-golf hole for teams to play.

Proceeds help the Ankeny Kiwanis Club provide scholarships through Ankeny Dollars for Scholars and Ankeny Chamber of Commerce and sponsor Ankeny High School Key Club, an international, student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.

Additionally, participants are encouraged to bring new packages of socks and underwear for the club’s Operation Underwear program. Donated items will be given to Ankeny School District nurses to be distributed to students in need.
