Beds and Shoes For Kids
The Beds and Shoes For Kids program provides assistance to children within the Ankeny School District who are in need of new shoes or in need of a bed. Working with our partners Carnival Shoes and Midwest Mattress, the Ankeny Kiwanis Club provides children who need new shoes or a bed to sleep in.
The BEDS FOR KIDS program was created out of a growing awareness that some children in our Ankeny community do not have comfortable sleeping arrangements. There are Ankeny families who do not have the resources to provide adequate sleeping arrangements and we want to help with a new twin size bed and bedding to help create a better home environment for their child.
The SHOES FOR KIDS program was created out of a growing awareness that some children in the Ankeny community have no shoes, poor fitting shoes or shoes in poor condition. There are Ankeny families who do not have the resources to provide adequate shoes and we want to help with a voucher to a local shoe merchant to help provide adequate footwear for their child.
